How this tool works

What it does

Compresses a batch of images in one run and packages them into a ZIP. Use manual quality or a per-file target size in KB. It shows a per-file status list and a total of original versus compressed size.

Robust batch

Every file is size-checked, non-image files are skipped and listed, and a single failed image does not stop the batch. The ZIP is still produced from the files that succeed.

Privacy

All images are compressed on your device. Nothing is uploaded to imgtoolsbase or any other server.

Bulk Image Compressor in your browser

Bulk Image Compressor processes many images at once and gives you a single ZIP, all inside your browser with no upload. It is built to be sturdy on real folders of mixed files.

Each file gets a status of done, skipped, or failed, non-image files are filtered out and reported, and the batch keeps going even if one image cannot be processed.

How to use Bulk Image Compressor

  1. Add several images with the upload box or by dragging them in.
  2. Choose manual quality or a per-file target size in KB, then set an output format and an optional maximum width.
  3. Click Process to compress each image locally and package them into a ZIP.
  4. Download the ZIP and review the per-file list and the before and after total.

Frequently asked questions

How many images can I compress at once?

You can select many at a time. Very large batches use more memory because everything runs in your browser, so extremely large sets may be slower.

Can I target a file size for each image?

Yes. Switch to Target file size and enter a KB value. Each image is compressed toward that size on its own, and the per-file list shows the size achieved and whether the target was met.

What happens to non-image files?

They are skipped and listed in the per-file status, and they do not stop the rest of the batch from being compressed.

What if one image fails?

That file is marked as failed and the batch continues. The ZIP is still created from the images that succeed.

Do I get one file or many?

You get a single ZIP containing all the compressed images, plus an on-page list and a before and after size total.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Bulk compression runs locally in your browser and your files never leave your device.
