How this tool works
What it does
Add Text to Image draws a single line of text onto the image at a set position.
Text
Size, colour and an optional dark outline.
Output
PNG/JPG/WebP; PNG/WebP keeps transparency.
Privacy & metadata
Everything runs in your browser on a canvas — your image is never uploaded. Browser canvas export strips EXIF, GPS, and most other source metadata.
Add Text to Image in your browser
Add Text to Image writes a line of text onto your image in your browser. Everything runs in your browser on a canvas — your image is never uploaded. Set the text, font size, colour and an optional outline, position it with X/Y, and export as PNG, JPG, or WebP.
The position is clamped to stay on the canvas so text can’t be pushed completely off the image. Transparency is kept for PNG/WebP output; JPG is flattened onto the background colour.
Add Text to Image shows the output dimensions, the text and size, the position, the output format and the file size. Browser canvas export strips EXIF, GPS, and most other source metadata. Animated GIFs are processed as a single still frame; animation is not preserved.
